My daughter

You came into my world
And set it alight
A burning fire like no other
The flames of which glow big and bright to this day
God’s gift made you my chosen daughter
From the very first sight
Loved every-day from your first breath onwards

Your first steps no fear of falling
Running to the waters edge
Trusting a brother to take care
To pull you back with good reason
You never doubted your own intuition
Brave and adventurous in choice selections
You made us proud on all paths taken

A social butterfly to the world’s delight
Young, beautiful and full of life
You often claim to be the favorite
But not true, you are both loved equally
Although you cost us more financially
Even as a baby, special milk, a heart with a little hole
That closed up and swallowed the world
The stage now set to follow through on all your ambitions
Hello world here comes our baby girl!

Conversations shared in my time of despair
You have no idea the impact of that share
You lifted me up unconditionally
Pretty sure God’s taking note
To add to your already awesome tally
My prayers will always be
To take care of you totally
Embracing you for an eternity

Your footprints are as good as gold
Treasured and destined for mighty things
Not just because I am your mother, I say these things
It is because I see the decent, humble and ethical human being
That stands before me today and goes after her dreams
But just know, you are still my little girl
Regardless of how old, you will always have
A special undying loving piece of my soul

Love always
